Our History
Established in 1994, MediQuote was formed as a solution to risk assessment.
Initially using medical professionals travelers would be assessed on an individual basis and a good understanding of the individual’s health was gained. This was a new concept and widely used across the travel insurance industry. MediQuote soon became the name to be trusted for medical screening.
This reputation has not changed. But MediQuote has expanded. Firstly into insurance products for customers they knew best, people with medical conditions and the over 65's. Medici caters for people the medical conditions and Insure For All is a specialist product for people 65 and over. Insure for All in 2006 were winners of the prestigious award - Insurer of the Year from the ITIJ.
The second area MediQuote has expanded is by building an online medical screening tool. MQ Expert was launched in May 2006 and within 6 months has screened more than 80,000 people. The MQ Expert tool is a simple to use but comprehensive risk assessment tool. Taking all their experience in medical screening for the past 13 years, the tool has been designed to replicate the knowledge of the medical professionals to allow non medical staff to carry out a risk assessment.
The future...who knows, MediQuote is growing from strength to strength with turnover increasing by over 300% in the last two years.
